Iron golems will only spawn if the villagers have slept within the last 20 minutes. This is why you got a few at first, but now the zombie is keeping them awake so the golems have stopped spawning. You need to change your design so that the villagers break eye contact with the zombie now and again. Best. It might be because you’re on a legacy version of the game (aka not PC or Bedrock edition). It has ten villagers and a workstation for each of them, as well as 24 beds. You need to make sure the bed in the middle is the first bed you placed, otherwise the golems won’t spawn inside the area you want them to. Speaking about area, the space you set up is too small and will result in the farm being much slower; a 20 by 20 centered around the central bed is much better. Lastly, the bell is useless.First make sure it's far enough from your village, second make sure the villagers can see the zombie, thirdly ensure the golems aren't spawning in a nearby cave. Hi thanks for replying! I got the iron golem farm working already. Turns out it was because the villagers could not access their workstations. I had a glass block blocking them from accessing it, a big mistake on my end :P Follow these steps to make the perfect killing and item collection area of the iron farm: 1. To begin, create a roof over the villagers’ structure and add a three-blocks high internal boundary to the roof. You’ll get a platform similar to the villagers’ area. 2. Then, place water in one corner of the platform. The detection range for the iron golem spawning req is not that big (hence the multi cell iron golem farms). Issue here is that the villagers are not breaking their line of don't with the zombie and aren't able to sleep.
